Moderation Rules for Owner Reviews

These moderation rules apply to the pilot/owner’s aircraft review section of AvBuyer.com When you submit a review to AvBuyer.com you must tick a box to say that you accept and agree to abide by these rules.

We will check all pilot/owner aircraft reviews submitted to AvBuyer.com for compliance with our standards; as set out below:

A review which states facts must be accurate; and where it states opinion; that opinion must be genuinely held and comply with the laws applicable in England and Wales and in any country from which it is posted

Please only post information about yourself and the aircraft for which you are either the owner or the regular pilot.
Do not post contact information about other individuals.
Please do not post links to other websites.
Do not defame individuals, companies or organisations. That is; do not write anything which could harm the reputation of an individual, company or organization.
Do not post anything that could be considered intolerant of a person's race, culture, appearance, gender, sexual preference, religion or age.
Do not post or link to any inappropriate, offensive or illegal material. Inappropriate content is anything that may offend or is not relevant to the discussion.
Please do not use reviews to advertise aircraft or any other goods for sale or promote a company’s products or services.
Do not attempt to solicit the personal details of other users.
Please do not infringe any copyright (i.e. belong to someone else) or infringe any database right, trademarks or other rights of any other person.
Please do not breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.
Please do not impersonate any person or misrepresent your identify or affiliation with any person.

3. Responsibility for reviews

You are responsible for your review.

Although we check reviews prior to publication, we are under no obligation to you or to any other person to oversee, monitor or moderate the website or any other service we provide on AvBuyer.com and we may stop moderating AvBuyer.com at any time.

We are not responsible as author, editor or publisher for any review submitted to the website and we expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the website in contravention of these rules.

We reserve the right to remove, or to disable access to, any review which we deem to be potentially defamatory of any person, unlawful, inappropriate, in violation of any third party rights or otherwise in breach of these rules.

4. Copyright

You grant to us a non-exclusive licence to freely use the review submitted to AvBuyer.com and to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your review. This licence is free of charge, perpetual and capable of sub-licence. We may exercise all copyright and publicity rights in the material contained in your review in all jurisdictions to their full extent and for the full period for which any such rights exist in that material.

5. Complaints

If you wish to complain about any review posted to AvBuyer.com, please contact the Jayne Jackson via the contacts page and tell us why you think the review should be removed from the website. We will review your complaint and the review. We will deal with any review which, in our opinion, violates these rules in such a way as we deem appropriate.

6. Changes to these rules

We may revise these rules at any time and you should ensure that you check these rules from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they will be deemed legally binding on you from the time they are posted on AvBuyer.com.
