Testimonial

As a first-time user of AvBuyer I was not sure of the exposure, or support I would receive with my listing. When I reached out to a former fellow Vermonter David Olcott, I knew I had made the right decision in choosing AvBuyer as our marketing platform. It could not have been easier. The day the posting went up, there were so many people sending inquiries I could not believe it!

Tina Lindberg, Mansfield Heliflight

"We are using several vendors for the purpose of selling our aircraft. In this respect AVB has proven being the number one in both effective customer support and number of responses related to our advertisements!"

Hugo Munthe-Kaas

"I want to let you know that we really enjoy working with AvBuyer. The people make the difference. Friendly, diligent, professional, conscientious, and responsive. We tend to get more responses to ads through AvBuyer than your other competitors. Keep up the great work!"

  • How much does a Leonardo AW139 cost?

The Leonardo AW139 costs between $5.5m and $9.652m, according to HeliValue$ data taken in spring 2021. The price of an individual AW139 helicopter will be tied to a variety of factors that are specific to the aircraft. For example, its maintenance history, and its current maintenance condition will play a big part in negotiating an agreed sale price between the buyer and seller. Likewise, the time remaining on the airframe and engines before the next big maintenance inspection or overhaul is due will play a key role, as will modifications and upgrades made to the aircraft. With these and other factors considered, the sale price of an individual aircraft could be greater than, or less than the average retail price for the model year.

  • What competes with the Leonardo AW139?

Buyers shopping the market for a Leonardo AW139 might consider other potential options in the same category, including the Airbus H155, which carries a maximum of 14 passengers (or six in executive configuration), and has a range of around 463nm.

Leonardo AW139 Helicopter Overview
By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

The Leonardo AW139 has been a major success for manufacturer AgustaWestland (now part of the Leonardo family). The helicopter is suitable for many roles, not least providing a very spacious VIP and executive transportation platform.

According to JETNET data published at the end of 2020, 1,094 AW139s have been produced since the model was launched in 2004. While more than half of these are in either the offshore or military domains, a sizeable chunk is used by corporate and VIP operators and owners.
