Russian Helicopters has built many hundreds of the Mil Mi-8 "Hip" large utility helicopter and its successor, the Mi-17. It is powered by two 1,874 shp Klimov TV3-117VM turboshafts. The civil transport version, the Mi-8T, which has square cabin windows and is able to carry up to 32 passengers, is used by several airlines as a helicopter shuttle.
