Military, Classic and Vintage aircraft form a specialist market attracting discerning and experienced fliers wishing to own, maintain and operate a legendary or niche aircraft. These jets, turboprops or piston airplanes may have previously served in one of the world’s air forces or navies, as a commercial airline several decades ago, or been a popular Business or General Aviation model that was mass-produced between the 1920s and 1960s (for example). Usually out of production for many years, the upkeep and operation of military, classic and vintage aircraft tends to be a labor of love. It is not uncommon to find the military, classic and vintage aircraft that comprise this marketplace playing starring roles on the world’s air show and fly-in circuits.
