What’s on the NBAA Schedule?
For industry professionals, a wide variety of Professional Development Programs (requiring pre-registration) are available for those looking to improve their flight operations. These include topics covering Cybersecurity Risk Management for Flight Departments, and A Collective Approach to Stopping Loss of Control Inflight.
For those hoping to enter the Business Aviation industry, NBAA-BACE2019 offers a range of educational opportunities designed to help young people, and college students progress into careers in Business Aviation.
If you’re looking to maximize your networking opportunities with new and existing clients, NBAA 2019 offers several ways to do so, including No Plane No Gain Media Kick-Off Breakfast, NBAA Coffee Social, and YoPro Networking Reception (among others).
You can hear from industry thought leaders on the hot topics for Business Aviation right now, including ‘Supersonic Jets: Emerging Reality or Same Old Hype?’, and ‘Sustainable Aviation Fuels’.
Or you can find the latest and most efficient products and/or services to help your flight operation function more efficiently. You’ll find a Convention Hall filled with thousands of exhibits, covering all aspects of Business Aviation, and a static display with all the latest and greatest business aircraft.
How Big is NBAA 2019?
Making sure you’ve planned ahead for your trip is key to making efficient use of your visit to NBAA. The NBAA Convention covers a radius of ~1,000,000sq. ft inside, and ~1,000,000sq. ft outside. With the event being on a significantly large scale, it should come as no surprise that not everything is within close proximity.
A key part of NBAA 2019 that you should factor into your visit is the static display, featuring over 100 different aircraft. However, this is a shuttle bus ride away from the main Convention Center. Make sure you’ve incorporated that travel time into your day plan and take advantage of the complimentary shuttle service and peruse the aircraft on display at Henderson Executive Airport.
Be mindful of the extent of walking you’ll be doing to cover the vast exhibition space and factor the heat (temperatures in Las Vegas could easily reach 29°C in October). Stay hydrated, and dress comfortably for a lot of walking in the heat.
Don’t Forget the NBAA Mobile App
Once you’ve registered for NBAA 2019 you can download the NBAA Mobile App which provides up-to-date information around the event, in real time.
As well as using the app, follow the NBAA 2019 social media platforms. Getting involved in discussions will help you engage with peers, and network with potential contacts.
Where to Stay at NBAA 2019…
The events team organizing NBAA 2019 recommend that you book your hotels and accommodation asap once you have registered for the event. When you book through the NBAA ‘Hotel & Transportation’ page, special rates are offered (with up to 58% off when booking with onPeak). You can also find information on the complimentary shuttle buses to and from the Convention Center.
Hotel prices can range between $95-$309 per night, and by using the ‘Hotel & Transportation’ page you’re likely to be staying at the same locations as other NBAA attendees, enhancing the opportunity to network and follow up on new and old contacts in the industry.
