What to Learn at NBAA 2019...
If you’re keen to develop or improve Healthy & Safety and Risk Management in your Flight Departments, NBAA’s well-established Professional Development Program (PDP) courses will be helpful. This year’s schedule includes topics covering Human Factors in Aviation; Cybersecurity Risk Management for Flight Departments; Organizational Risk Management; A Collective Approach to Stopping Loss of Control Inflight, and much, much more. And if flight department safety's your forte, you can’t afford to miss the National Safety Forum.
Note: Many events require pre-registration, so do check the NBAA website to find out which you should pre-register for.
Over the course of two days (Monday and Tuesday), the annual Tax, Regulatory & Risk Management Conference will also run, held in conjunction with NBAA-BACE. This is the premier conference for attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, CFOs and flight ops professionals looking for tax planning strategies from industry leaders.
And then there’s a broad range of seminars and discussions on the current and future direction of the industry. These will be presented by the industry’s thought leaders and include topics such as 'Supersonic Jets: Emerging Reality or Same Old Hype?' and 'Sustainable Aviation Fuels: The Future is Now' (both occurring Tuesday 21), among many other exciting subjects for discussion. These sessions are designed to allow attendees to understand the latest on all that's hot and important in Business Aviation today.
How to Make the Most from Networking at NBAA 2019
In addition to learning, several networking opportunities present themselves at NBAA-BACE each year, whether you’re a member of the press, brand new to Business Aviation, seek a career in Business Aviation, are an industry veteran, or are part of a regional BizAv group.
For example, there’s the No Plane No Gain Media Kick-Off Breakfast; Local & Regional Group Networking; the NBAA Coffee Social; and YoPro Networking Reception (all happening Tuesday 21); and the Annual Meeting of Members (Wednesday 23). In addition, don’t miss Developing Women Leaders (Wednesday 23); and Careers in Business Aviation – General Session (Thursday 24).
What to see: NBAA 2019 Exhibit Hall and Static Display
And then there’s the core event: The exhibit halls and Static Display of Aircraft (open Tuesday 21 – Thursday 24).
Whether your interest area is aircraft catering, tires, engine maintenance programs, cabin connectivity, aircraft financing, charter, or the latest pilot app to upload to your EFB, there is a complete and comprehensive range of products and services on display in the exhibit hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Representatives from many of the leading Business Aviation products and services providers will be present to talk face-to-face about your flying and operating needs.
And all of the airplane manufacturers and various leading aircraft dealers and brokers will have a presence on static display so you can get up close and personal with the latest and greatest private jets and turboprops available to buy.
Whether you come to see Gulfstream’s newly-certified G500 and G600 jets, Bombardier’s globe-trotting Global 7500, or something altogether smaller, such as Cirrus Aircraft’s single-engine SF50 Vision Jet, you're likely to find it on the static display at Henderson Executive Airport.
Often manufacturers showcase mock-ups of future jets currently in development, too, so if you’re lucky you might get a sneak peek at Dassault’s Falcon 6X or the cabin of a Bombardier Learjet 75 Liberty.
