About 550 exhibitors from 26 countries will come to Lake Constance to present their products and services on over 90-000 square metres of exhibition space. With about 50% of all exhibitors coming from abroad- AERO continues to underline its international significance in 2011.

AERO 2010 was a successful event and the success story continues in 2011. Major manufacturers from all sections of the general aviation industry- including companies such as Autogyro- Flight Design- Tecnam- Centurion- Eurocopter- Diamond and Shell will participate in AERO this year. The entire glider manufacturing industry will also be represented at AERO 2011. Companies such as Schleicher- Stemme and Schempp-Hirth have confirmed their participation.

The Helicopter Hangar continues to be very well received by exhibitors. Two exhibition halls will be dedicated to all aspects of rotary-wing flight in 2011. The aircraft on display in the helicopter section will range from light gyrocopters to heavy transport helicopters. Rescue helicopters will show their capabilities during a large rescue exercise on Lake Constance on Friday- April 15- 2011.

Ecological - electrical - evolutionary - that’s the motto of the E-Flight Expo to be held for the third time this year. Innovative companies will be presenting environmentally friendly aero engines- new aviation fuels and battery technologies. The highlight of the 2011 exhibition will be the awarding of the Lindbergh Electric Aircraft Prize (LEAP)- which will be presented by Erik Lindbergh- the grandson of the aviator Charles Lindbergh. The prize is given for outstanding innovation in the field of electric flight.

Once again- AERO will be featuring a topclass lecture and supporting programme. AERO Conferences will host numerous e-flight and helicopter related presentations and discussions. The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) will also host several talks. Once again- the German Aero Club (DAeC) will be providing ICAO language proficiency tests at AERO 2011.
