Cessna Citation VII Jet Snapshot

By Matt Harris - Editor, AvBuyer magazine

The Citation VII is a Mid-Size Jet built by Cessna. Typically it is configured to seat seven passengers. Production started in 1992 and ended in 2000 with 119 units built, according to JETNET. According to Aircraft Bluebook, in Winter 2023 the average price for a Citation VII ranged between $1m (1992 model) and $1.70m (2000 model).

What makes the Citation VII stand out?

Honeywell TFE731-4R-2S engines gave the Citation VII greater hot and high performance capabilities, and enabled it to carry more payload when fully fuelled than the Citation III it replaced. The avionics were also more modern in the Citation VII, incorporating Honeywell’s EFIS. According to Conklin & de Decker, the maximum range of the Citation VII is 1,824nm.
