The Bombardier Global 6500 costs between $46m (2020 model) and $42m (2019 model), according to Aircraft Bluebook’s spring 2021 data. The aircraft is still very new on the market, and has only been delivering since 2019, meaning that any pre-owned jets on the market will be very new models.
This part of the ultra-long-range with large cabin market features a range of options that compete with the Global 6500, including Dassault’s Falcon 8X and Gulfstream’s G600. The Falcon 8X has a range of 6,450nm carrying eight passengers, while the G600’s range stands at 6,600nm.
The Global 6500 aircraft’s redesigned cabin offers a range of exclusive features for customers, while it also features the ‘Nuage’ chaise, a seating innovation that adds new dimensions to the conference suite (according to Bombardier), providing a convertible lounge chair that can transform into a sleeping surface or be used for ‘banquet’ style dining at a table.
The Global 5500 is similar to the Global 6500, with a shorter fuselage length. The Global 5500 can hold up to 16 passengers as opposed to 19 in the Global 6500, and its range is 700nm less at 5,900nm.
