Volker K. Thomalla amongst other journalistic activities is currently also Editor for GA BUYER EUROPE Magazine and Editor-in-Chief of Aerobuzz.de. In 2021 he received the Aerospace Media Award (category Business Aviation). He has been a journalist covering the aerospace industry for 40 years. From 1995 to 2016 he was editor-in-chief of the German publication Aerokurier, and from 2000 to 2016 he was also in charge of FLUG REVUE and Luftfahrt classics. Between 2016 and 2020, Thomalla was Editor-in-Chief of the English-language business aviation magazine BART International. He has written several books on aviation and also gained practical flying experience as a private pilot.
