De Havilland Canada's DHC-2 Beaver has carved a unique niche as a flexible and reliable bush aircraft powered by a P&W Wasp radial engine. First flown in 1947, the Beaver was sold in large numbers to the US military - and many of those were later civilianised. A total of 1,692 were built including 60 Turbo Beavers fitted with the P&W PT6A turboprop.
