After Cessna invented the Entry-Level Jet market with the original Citation 500 (certified in 1970), and again with the CitationJet (certified 1992), the buying public was poised when Cessna yet again re-defined the category with its Citation Mustang.

The Citation Mustang is powered by a pair of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW615F engines, while in the cockpit it utilizes a Garmin G1000 flight panel certified for single pilot operation. Cessna stopped producing the Mustang in 2017 and instead focussed on Citation M2 production. Therefore, prospective buyers will be shopping the pre-owned aircraft marketplace when selecting the right Citation Mustang jet for them.

The AvBuyer Opinion: The Cessna Citation Mustang offers versatile performance coupled with easy handling at low speed and positive maneuverability. That makes it an excellent traveler, particularly for those moving into jet ownership for the first time, or with shorter range requirements.
