FAQs: Cessna Citation Longitude Jets for Sale

Here are the most Frequently Asked Questions for Cessna Citation Longitude Jets for sale
  • How much does a Cessna Citation Longitude cost?

The Citation Longitude costs an average $19m (2019 model) up to $30m (2023 model), per Aircraft Bluebook’s Winter 2023 data. The ultimate price an individual aircraft sells for will vary, however, depending on several factors that drive an overall sale price. This could include maintenance condition, the proximity of the next big inspection or overhaul, warranty coverage or enrolment on an aircraft maintenance program, and more.

  • What competes with the Cessna Citation Longitude?

The Citation Longitude is aimed at quite a crowded segment, featuring such names as the Embraer Praetor 600 (which can hold up to 12 passengers and has a range of 4,018nm); the Gulfstream G280 (a 3,600nm-range aircraft that holds up to 10 passengers); and the Bombardier Challenger 350 (which has a range of 3,200nm and carries 10 passengers).

  • What makes the Cessna Citation Longitude stand out?

Textron has worked to raise the comfort levels of the Citation Longitude to the highest level possible. The jet has an impressively roomy cabin, and provides passengers with ample legroom. Cabin sound levels are low, while passengers can use its cutting-edge technology to manage their entertainment and environment from any mobile device, boosting flexibility and versatility.

  • What is the difference between a Cessna Citation Longitude and a Cessna Citation Latitude?

The Citation Latitude is a smaller jet than the Citation Longitude, and has a four-passenger range of 2,700nm at high-speed cruise. Though the Latitude employs the same Garmin G5000 avionics, it is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 engines, compared to the Longitude’s Honeywell HTF7700L powerplants.

Cessna Citation Longitude Jet Overview

By Gerrard Cowan - Editor, Aircraft Reviews

With a range of 3,500nm and a maximum speed of 483ktas, the Citation Longitude looks set to be a major player in the transatlantic business jet market over the coming decade.

Despite receiving its FAA certification as recently as September 2019, the jet is already making market waves, and, according to JETNET data in December 2023, 101 units are in operation.

A prominent example of the popularity of the Citation Longitude came at the beginning of 2020, when leading fractional ownership provider Netjets took delivery of one of the aircraft, deepening a long-standing relationship between Netjets, Textron, and its Cessna Citation line.

What features does the Cessna Citation Longitude offer?

Seating up to 12 passengers, the Longitude is powered by FADEC-equipped Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines.

The jet also has a stand-up six-foot tall cabin with a flat-floor design and offers a cabin altitude of 5,950 feet. In the cockpit, meanwhile, the aircraft features the latest evolution of the Garmin G5000 flight deck.

What came before and after the Cessna Citation Longitude?

The Longitude is on the leading edge of a line of successful Cessna Citation jets. The most recent new addition to the family prior to certification and delivery of the Citation Longitude is the shorter-range, smaller cabin Citation Latitude.

Other Cessna successes in the Mid-Size Citation jet arena include the Citation XLS+, with a maximum range of 2,100nm.
