The Cirrus SR22-G2 Turbo, which was introduced in 2006, has a Tornado Alley "turbonormalised" version of the 310 hp Continental IO-550-N piston engine. This provides maximum power output at higher altitudes and in high temperature conditions. Otherwise, it has the same equipment and options as the SR22-G2 including the emergency parachute system.
