Piper's Cheyenne IIIA, introduced in 1983, is an upgraded version of the Cheyenne III with PT6A-61 engines giving a higher maximum cruise speed of 305 kts. It also features a redesigned cabin and an increased 35,840 service ceiling. The standard interior layout is for two crew and six passengers with extra baggage lockers in the engine nacelles.
